Vangelis channelling ambient synth work from BH affiliate and Neubau artist Leo James. Made up of two dark and eerie trance like house cuts on the A side and one sprawling, twenty minute epic on the B side, this new 12” definitely requires some attentive listening. ‘The Surface’ sounds like French Kiss meets downbeat GOA. The B side track ‘The Centre of Time’ is the real highlight here, going on and on forever in the same vein as Cold’s chill out classic ‘Strobe Light Network’. The wide reaching taste of label head Gizmo has resulted in an impressive array of sounds and styles to be found on Berceuse Heroique over the years. Here’s to more!
