Berceuse Heroique celebrates their 50th release with a new EP from Don’t DJ, leaving the polyrhythmic tekno behind for three wide lensed dubs and a mind-expanding insanely good NWAQ remix!!

As one might expect given the title, All Love Affairs Fail But They Never End is a wistful and somewhat downbeat collection. This is most apparent on the sixteen-minute closer ‘Two Of Pentacles’, a beatless, Vangelis-style synth-scape. Don’t DJ’s other two originals here are equally pensive. Opener ‘Veles’ weds the expressive sounds of ‘Two Of Pentacles’ to a pitter-patter groove, while ‘Reapercussion’ is a similarly pre-occupied piece of dub-techno. Newworldaquarium flips the mournfulness of ‘Veles’ into a transcendent, ethereal banger that just keeps on rolling, making its nine-minute duration disappear in what feels like seconds.
