After almost 15 years of silence, Neil Michael Hagerty and Jennifer Herrema got the band back together in 2015. Platinum Tips and Ice Cream Live is the first Royal Trux release since reforming and was recorded, live and unrehearsed, across dates in California and New York City. The thing is, though - when you’ve made music together for so many years, and that music tends to veer towards explosive noise and controlled chaos, then why practise when you can just channel your energy and dive straight in? This record proves that the band have come back from their break renewed, rejuvenated and as hungry as ever.
