Long-standing US folk outsider Lou Barlow drops a new five track EP on Indianapolis’s Joyful Noise. The opening track ‘The Breeze’ follows the same path as Jackson C. Frank and Mark Kozelek, with introspective and experience-tinged lyricism accompanying a lone guitar. The EP follows suite and although nothing is particularly unexpected, Apocalypse Fetish is a fine addition to the collection of any fan of modern day indie folk.
