The famous Eddy De Clerq has curated this compilation of early-80’s nuggets. All of the tracks here were submitted to Amsterdam venue De Koer as demo tapes when De Clerq worked there in 1981. Now he has combed the archives and selected the best dozen entries to appear here. The takes range from larger-than-life punk ragers (Helmettes’ ‘Half Twee’) to early synth-pop experiments (Nasmak’s ‘My Void’) to Gothic post-punk (Dark Ravens Of Dance’s ‘Stumbling Around’). The more eagle-eyed will notice that the Lee Ranaldo-featuring Plus Instruments make an appearance.
