The Irish DJ-cum-production duo Bicep come through with their latest edit EP on their Feel My Bicep imprint, this time reworking the ‘90s top ten hit ‘In Yer Face’ by Manc legends 808 State. The two interpretations are vastly differing affairs, the remix built around swirling synth lines, bounding bass pads, raw and open percussion and that signature Manc swagger vocal loop of ‘In Your Face’. The acid dub hits hella hard! Kick drums slamming in like heavyweight blows. The chords are more sinister here, giving the track a creepy energy it’s not previously held. Both cuts are killer and well worthy of rocking a party.
