Third studio album from Montreal rockers Suuns on Secretly Canadian, their first since 2013’s Images Du Futur (and the self-titled collab record with The Suuns and Jerusalem in My Heart from 2014). Hold/Still sees Shemie, Yarmush et.al embrace the electronics like never before; weaving together a record that bristles with Kid A anxiety twitch, 20 Jazz Funk Greats industrial wyrd, warped Arca-ean precision editing, and heavy Haxan Cloak atmosphere. Underneath all this experimenting lies a beautiful song writing heart; full of hooks and licks to return.
