Northern Electronic associate Alexander Burg aka Dorisburg lands on Hivern Discs with his debut long player entitled Irrbloss. Also functioning as one half of Genius Of Time, here Burg extends his ability to fuse enveloping sonic environments with club-ready production to greater lengths, beginning the journey with the wind-swept, dub-wise bounce of ‘Irrbloss’, followed by the more distilled plink-plonk of ‘Insevpt’. From here, we’re plunged to deeper depths, starting with the galvanizing, Porter Ricks-esque ‘Votiv’ and the cleaner, more functional pairing of ‘Kassiopeia’ and ‘Gloson’. Although, the Swede is keen to demonstrate his depth of styles, with the dark, tribal swing of ‘Gripen’ taking on a haunting voodoo essence, counteracted by the modular deviations of ‘Sagofabrik’ whilst the emotionally inflicted melodies of ‘Cirkla’ round of a confident and varied release.
