Third LP of self-help offering autumnal ambience from Dalhous for Blackest Ever Black. Composing itself as the first chapter in a series entitled the 'Composite Moods Collection' Vol.1: House Number 44 delves into similar psychotic waters of abandonment and mental well-being as previous LP's have researched. The album features variations on the rain-soaked haze of previous releases but pushes the duo's production in a forwards motion that propels them towards ideas akin to labelmates such as Regis, as found on the skeletal, taut breakbeat techno of Running Sheets and the Prurient spiritual ambience of Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement as displayed elegantly on It Itself, Is Harmless. The album drifts by as it plays out, churning out a dream-like atmosphere that engulfs each track, though the overall effect is a transportation of sorts to a place where time simply begins to move around you while Dalhous ensure the world you are inhabiting stands silently still.
