Merz (born Conrad Ewart Lambert) is an English folk/electronic artist from Dorset who has been mining rich seams of delicate music since 2009. Thinking Like A Mountain is his sixth record, his third for Matthew Herbert’s Accidental. On which Lambert takes us on a wistful trip down through spooked folk forests, reverb soaked indie-pop vistas, fractured guitar instrumentals and clicky electronics. An album of collaborations, it features four songs co-written with the NYC musician Shahzad Ismaily, one song is co-written with Icelandic Múm band member Gyða Valtýsdóttir. While three songs are co-written with Bern drummer and sound artist Julian Sartorius. The album tracks were mixed by Herbert himself with additional mixing from Dimlite and Ewan Pearson.
