As popular imprint 50 Weapons begins to wind down, label regular and techno deity Shed returns to the imprint with what will surely be his final appearance for the Modselektor pair. So, its appropriate on ‘Dark Planet’ that Pawlowitz delivers his signature hulking kick drums and a sturdy, club-weapon feel similar to that of the seminal EQD series, with seismic bass tremors and a tripped-out vocal chop that’ll work ‘em into a frenzy. On the B-side, the Modeselektor boys take a turn on the same, making use of the same vocal chop but mutating it into a gyrating hip-hop hybrid, again engineered for the club.
