Double A-side of 100% heat from newly crowned Top 10 RA Best DJ in The World, Rødhåd and Berlin trio Fjaak who get given the scorched-green-light by Modeselektor’s Monkeytown/50 Weapons to do some deviant things on wax. Fjaak and their ‘Super Smash’ play it fairly straight, and tough; all staccato stabs, filtered bass and a swirling soaring euphoric female vocal. Rødhåd on the other hand takes it moodier and more rugged with his ‘Oblivion’, a track inspired by the Elder Scrolls video game. This is very nearly the last outing for 50 Weapons (this being cat no.49) so pay your respects and hit BUY.
