Bleep

Following installments from himself and Karl ‘Regis’ O’Connor, Samuel Kerridge presents a debut release from Manchester-based artist and sound engineer Emanuele Porcinai under his WSR guise. The Stainless EP puts Porcinai’s interest in aural architecture and natural reverberation at the forefront to create powerful sonic statements, starting with the crumbling keys and bludgeoning aural rubble of ‘Debris’, followed by the somber, industrial convulsions of the title cut. On the flip, ‘No Horizon’ deploys a demented rhythm, backed by torrents of noise and harrowing strings, whilst ‘Inner Oceans’ strips things back to a dark passage of ritualistic drone.
