Paper Cranes drop their second release and follow up to the strong debut from Hi5 Ghost & Trends with a murky outing from Bristol’s Lamont. This two-tracker shows the artist’s prowess in crafting dark percussive grime with surgical precision, with the A-Side flaunting ‘Shadows’ – a creeping, bass-heavy roller with dub-scattered rim shots and ridged low end thumps. Vocalist Beezy gets involved on ‘Pondering’, adding his relaxed rhyming to the fluttering bass line and swinging, clap-ridden groove.
