Attractive remix package released as a coda to Jakub Alexander’s debut LP as Heathered Pearls - Body Complex. He’s previously referenced artists and labels like GAS, early Dial Records, and Mille Plateaux releases as touchstones and they form the foundations for source material here. First up on the remix, is Ghostly alumni Lord Raja who cranks out a DJ Screw meets Balam Acab vision in codeine beats and syrupy atmospheres. Next, New Jersey producer Physical Therapy (best known for his Hippos In Tanks, Safety Net EP) remixes two ways : Strength and Speed. The latter is the pick, all spindly hi-hats, furious breakbeats and winding electronics.
