A tape from brilliant Glasgow hip hop/club label Astral Black pairing Soulection-associated producer JD. Reid with London rapper ItsNate. JD. Reid is best known for his past releases on Plastician’s Terrorhythm label as well as collaborations with Faze Miyake, while ItsNate is part of a resurgent wave of UK rap. ‘Chopper’ is a cross-Atlantic collaboration, seeing ItsNate team up with Chicago collagist rapper Tree, while the tape closes out on a floaty rework of ‘WG1KLG’ by instrumental quasi-grime producer Mr. Mitch.
