Respected teacher, producer and early electronics connoisseur Alan Gubby was responsible for the research, curation, mastering and archiving of the timeless electronic music collection(s) on Trunk, The John Baker Tapes (c.2008) which sparked off a renewed interest in all things Daphne, Delia, BBC. Here he is again on his own label with another set of fascinating cues from jazz pianist & Radiophonics pioneer, John Baker. Whilst working on The John Baker Tapes compilation, Gubby unearthed several reels of music & sound effects from the 1960’s BBC TV series ‘Vendetta’ - a mafia themed cop thriller. What we get here are 36 wild themes for the first series in 1966 with live drums, Radiophonic beats, twanging bass lines & screaming jazz solos. A crazed, essential compendium that is flying out, so be quick, all you Tomorrow People.
