Breaking their 14-year hiatus, UK legends Mark Broom and Baby Ford revive their Perbec alias for an outing on Dutch imprint Autoreply Music. Between ’95 and 01’ the pair dropped four prime (now highly sought after) releases on Baby Ford’s own Ifach label; the Chaser EP picks up right where they left off, with the minimalistic, 90’s house synth keys of the title cut custom calibrated for the ‘floor. On the otherside, ‘Long John’ lays down a hypnotic, muffled groove, enriching the piece throughout the track with quirky, off-the-wall detailing.
