In the wake of the re-released material from his Tresor days in the late 90s, we get another glimpse at the early output of UK techno stalwart Surgeon: a few of them never released before, he found these prime instances of high-impact club music when searching through old DAT tapes, and began transferring everything with the help of Christoph Grote-Beverborg from Dubplates & Mastering in Berlin to present it as it was originally intended — and with great success: the grip is astonishing throughout the EP, sticking analogue textures and relentlessly overdriven kicks.
