Legendary techno producer Surgeon returns to the Tresor label for his first full length techno release in 5 years entitled Crash Recoil. Culled in part from sketches and experiments worked out in his recent live sets, the LP maintains some of the spontaneity and nervy energy of those shows, while also applying the consistency he’s honed in the studio. Influenced by the likes of Coil and The Cure as well as time tested Detroit machine funk, Crash Recoil thrillingly adds a new layer of emotional turmoil to Surgeon’s renowned rumble.
