Detroiter Traag follows White Wall, his 2013 EP for Gang Of Ducks, with another sloshed set for the burgeoning Italian imprint. Needless to say, this is not your standard Friday-night fare. ‘Tropical Fruit’ and ‘Successfull Solider’, with their primitive preset drum work and narcotic lean, are closer to Houston, Texas than clubland. While ‘Rubber Doll’, ‘Mr. Alan’ and ‘Stray Dog’ might work on the dancefloor, thanks to twitchy disco rhythms, curious numbers like ‘Win The Lotto’ and ‘Grey Cologne’ will confound all but the most seasoned post-punks.
