Goon Club Allstars put out an EP from producer Moleskin and it's a thrill from start to finish. Inspired by Jersey and Baltimore club, as well as the contortions of grime, it's a raucous set that sounds like little else. The blazing horn riff of opening track 'We Been Ready' sets the exhilarating tone, haywire beats ricocheting with club-slaying abandon. The jitters of 'Clemency' carry similar firepower. 'Chips' is a queasy, see-sawing hit of cannoning grime muscle, while 'Turnt On' (vinyl only this one) explodes deliriously again and again and digital bonus 'Chains' growls with teeth-gritting intensity.
