20 years after its launch, iconic techno label M-Plant celebrates one of its fundamental releases with three contemporary edits. By translating his raw, stripped down sound to the 21st century, founder and Detroit techno legend Robert Hood lives up to his name. ‘Re-Plant’ denies itself the vocal samples and calms itself down by cutting out the sharp synths and losing a few BPM. Hood emphasizes the bass in all of the three edits, and the naturally flowing arrangements add to the overall dynamic of the EP.
