Buz Ludzha is the new project from The Cyclist and on Love Repetitive Rhythmics he greatly impresses with a release of lo-fi house that, while vintage in flavour, never heads too far into nostalgia. 'Rave With Love' starts off with groggy electronics undulating above a slinky bass-line, but its the moment when poignant piano chords cut in and take the twisted analogue hiss of the track skywards that is really special. On the flip 'Basslines For Death' shows contorting electronics contrasting with celestial, early-hours pads for a moment of bittersweet release. Overall an accomplished single that shows the emotional reach of experimental house and techno forms.
