Darkwave four-piece Deathday team up with Mannequin Records for a cold, rhythmic release backed by a haunting remix from Legowelt. Title track ‘No Future’ kicks off with a sturdy programmed beat, augmented by nihilistic vocals, wild guitars and retro synth chords. Next, ‘Dropped Into Obscurity’ has been plucked from the 2012 Downwards compilation So Click Heels and is a searing piece of beat-driven post-punk. Dutch legend Legowelt has a turn on the moody ‘After Dark’, adding thick layers of dark atmosphere to a stepping beat.
