UK DJ and producer Neville Watson first made a name for himself DJing in the glory days of acid house and his productions still snap and crackle with that kind of raw, unabashed energy - recent releases for Clone Jack For Daze Series, Creme Organization and the label of infamous London club night World Unknown attest to that. His latest releases comes on Semtek's Don't Be Afraid label and is just as gritty as anything he has done before. 'Crossing The Is' propels forward on a grainy, rolling beat, while 'Wired' adds wallowing bass to the mix. Title track 'Hot & Heavy' is the surprise though, seeing Watson turn to ambience and blissful pads.
