Off the wall futuristic yet traditional mpb influenced psych rock from Brazilian singer Tom Ze, previously only available in CD form. At its core, Com Defeito.. is a concept album about a third world, where the economic exploitation of the first world turns its inhabitants into androids. Beneath Ze’s academia leading philosophies, the music on the album spans Grupo Raizes style sun-drenched psych through to Joao Donato or Tim Maia esque pop funk. Definitely an album which requires a couple of listens, whether Portuguese is your native tongue or not!
