Anyone lucky enough to witness a live set from long-standing techno veteran Peter Van Hoesen will know that they are something of a spectacle, often leaving audiences shell-shocked from the robust blend of rhythm, melody and most importantly, improvisation. In his first full length since 2012, the Belgian sidesteps his own label to release ‘Life Performance’ which documents a 60-minute live performance taken from Berlin’s Tresor. The piece works to provide an insight into Van Hoesen’s hardware heavy live set which no doubt pasted the walls of the Berlin basement.
