Caldo Verde present the debut collaboration from The Album Leaf’s multi-instrumentalist Jimmy LaValle and Sun Kil Moon vocalist Mark Kozelek - ‘Perils from the Sea’. Born from a relationship of admiration when Kozelek asked LaValle to co-write a song, the track ‘What Happened to My Brother’ came together quickly, resulting in the two agreeing to record an entire album together. Eskewing the large sonic soundscapes of The Album Leaf, the album instead opts for minimalism - gliding synth sounds and rolling drum beats up against Kozelek’s narrative-style vocals.
