Founding member Irmin Schmidt continues his quest to keep the gigography of Can in circulation. Following LIVE IN PARIS 1973, Schmidt and René Tinner travel to Aston to restore another round in their electrifying archives. Ominous organs on ‘Eins’ switch from vampiric moods to jazzy solos amidst the intense chug of the drums, while gnarly distortion hits the guitar strums like a tidal wave. ‘Drei’ begins with abstract live sculpting of sound as space signals are transmitted over upbeat chords, eventually ending in a gamelan-style breakdown with rushing marimba tones and a bass workout from Rosko Gee.
