Manchester post-punk progenitors A Certain Ratio continue their late period renaissance with yet another new LP for Mute entitled It All Comes Down To This. Working diligently as they refined down simply to the group’s core trio, It All Comes Down finds the band at their very best: playful and propulsive in equal measure. Tracks like the breakbeat-y ‘Bitten By A Lizard’ and the dub-inflected ‘Surfer Ticket’ show ACR adding ever more tantalising wrinkles to their game.
