Can, eh. As members grow old and the band enter the solidifying-their-legacy era of their career, the group have chosen to celebrate their half-century with a triple-LP of all of their singles. On the one hand, The Singles will serve as a comprehensive introduction into arguably the foremost avant-garde act of the 21st Century to anyone as-yet-uninitiated. However, due to the addition of rarities such as ‘Silent Night’ and ‘Turtles Have Short Legs’, the release can also serve to plug gaps in the collections of long-time fans as well as simply reminding seasoned listeners of what they enjoyed so much in the first place.
