After a year in the wilderness Henry Smithson returns with more roof-raising techno, this time with a twist. Openers ‘Dance to the Great Golf Ball in the Sky’ and ‘Bang Your Head’ deliver the pounding beats/hoover synths/bass hooks addicts demand, while collaborations with Miss Kittin and Scrufizzer work in frog voices and snappy hip-hop. It’s a change in direction for Ed Banger Records; if it stays as fresh as this, we hope they don’t turn back.
