Heinrich Mueller, Penélope Martín and DJ Stingray 313 use the language of electro to explore a more experimental otherworld with their NRSB-11 project. With one of the group’s most sought after tracks landing in sets from the likes of Aphex Twin, their self-titled EP switches from the urgent sci-fi tension of dazzling synth arpeggios to illuminating chords rising above the dystopian downpour. Waves of detuned strings ebb and flow on ‘685-471 2’, exuding a palpable sense of space in its echoing thunks and reverberant synths beamed from beyond this mortal realm.
