A timely release from Domino, unveiling the first single from Julia Holter... ‘Goddess Eyes’ initially appeared on the much sought-after ‘Tragedy’ album, then later re-emerged on her follow-up, second album, ‘Ekstasis’, in the form of ‘Goddess Eyes II’. Both versions exist here, side-by-side, in all their exquisite glory, alongside a new recording of ‘Betsy on the Roof’ performed with musicians Christopher Votek and Corey Fogel. A beautifully realised glimpse into Holter’s dramatic, singular vision.
