Russian techno duo Locked Club have returned to Private Persons for the first time in a year with another slab of industrial strength electro/techno. Although effective, these are not DJ tools for the faint of heart. Pummeling, heart-stopping kicks and warehouse siren synths are the name of the game here, the kind of tracks that bring dread to the dancefloor in spades. The gruelling EBM churn of ‘Edu V Egipet’ and in-the-red distortion on ‘Kuliki’ in particular are sure to get bodies moving in dark rooms around the world.
