Regarded as one of the most important acousmatic and concrete innovators, Bernard Parmegiani led a career spanning close to 40 years, faithfully acknowledged here by Editions Mego’s sub-label Recollection GRM. As part of a double-headed release they present 1970’s ‘L'Œil écoute’, a trip-inducing piece of immersive auditory contemplation and ‘Dedans-Dehors’, originally recorded in 1977 and a piece of work involved in the idea of metamorphosis, reflecting changes represented with fluid to solid passages of sound, and movements represented with the ebb and flow of various manipulations.
