Groupe de Recherches Musicales are rresurrected for this remaster of Bernard Parmegiani’s 1975 opus. A sound engineer by trade the Frenchman’s never sounded clearer, from the opening spits and sputters of old analogue computers to the eerie vintage glitch of the finale. Falling somewhere between IDM and ‘70s Doctor Who soundtrack, ‘De Natura Sonorum’ is an alternative music time capsule that genuinely still sounds fresh.
