In contrast to Bvdub’s prolific canon of material, most characterised by its deep dub ambience, ‘Resistance is Beautiful’ explores new terrain. The album hears the San Francisco producer floating above pure ambient landscapes frequently attacked by swathes of poppy melodies or deep house and techno structures. His narrative comes close to a deconstructed version of classic dance music, refigured and poured into oceans of ambience.
