LA Vampires, the misty-eyed pop project of label owner Amanda Brown teams up with one of the names to appear on 100% Silk’s early roster, Octa Octa, for five tracks of salty-sweet subterranean club-pop. In contrast to previous LA Vampires releases, ‘Freedom 2K’ is less of a tumbling vortex of deconstructed dance, and more a form of straight-up silky smooth house made for red-lit lofts and open air.
