Spectrum Spools throw us another sensory curveball in the form of Alexander Moskos’ Drainolith project, an album made up of blues jams that sound like they’ve had a hammer or two to the head and been simultaneously deconstructed and rebuilt with offhand care. Disorientating and disarming, ‘Fighting!’ comes awash with feedback and distortion, splintered synths and a synthetic vocal delivery spoken with a displaced sense of loss.
