Berlin’s Steffi debuts her new Candy Mountain imprint with the propulsive electro of The Red Hunter, her fourth LP. Collecting modulating rhythm alongside breaks and complex sound design to great effect. Tracks like ‘Alternation of High and Low’ and ‘Tragedy Turns to Comedy’ certainly spin their wheels in service to the dancers, but both pack the kind of mind altering elements most in this lane shy away from. Highly recommended
