The ever prolific Flying Lotus returns with a new single featuring soulful vocals from Devin Tracy. The rapidly expanding Lotus CV now hosts various scores and instrumental productions for Netflix's Yasuke anime and Adult Swim as well as various accolades including Grammy awards and work with David Lynch , Alma Harel, Hiro Murai, Khalil Joseph and Shinichiro Watanabe. Here we see two tracks of sultry and expertly rendered R&B. Maybe it’s a pointed reminder that FlyLo can still excel in more pop focussed territory whenever he wants, these two tracks laden with earworm hooks. There are still subtle flashes of his usual playful jazz informed production: a gliding electric bassline, blown-out acid dipped synth chords, delicate shimmering keys and warm backing vocals.
