The Acid Waxa label brings a modern classic acid techno release to vinyl for the very first time. Long known for a big string of releases on Waxa as well as Emotional Response (among others), Roy Of The Ravers is certainly a key figure in the world of acid, and Fenix Break is among his strongest releases. Originally out on cassette in 2019, Fenix Break sees Roy coax a lot of different sounds out of his 303 and Akai samplers. From the title track’s slingshot drum breaks to the slippery, detuned thud of ‘Funk Monkey’, it often sounds like there’s steam coming off his machines.
