Irish post-punk troupe Fontaines D.C. are a productive bunch to say the least. Back with their third LP in as many years entitled Skinty Fia, the lads follow up their critically acclaimed prior offering with another strong helping of their politically-charged rabble rousing. There’s subtle new wrinkles to the formula too: a dash of Madchester funk on ‘Jackie Down The Line’ here, some snappy drum machine work on the title track there. These new elements are gallantly successful, but what has worked for the Fontaines before still does just fine on this one too.
