2020’s Mordechai saw Texan trio Khruangbin encorporate vocals more heavily into their infectious stoned-funk instrumentals than they had released previously. Returning to this collection of work after a year of stunted touring and postponed live performances flanked with an incredible cast of producers and artists to rework these tracks, tucking the vocals back neatly behind the psychedelic guitar riffs and oscillating basslines. “Some of these remixes were specifically made so you can dance your ass off while getting down to the Khruangbin sound, while some might better be appreciated horizontally with headphones on, wearing fashionably loose clothes.
