CD FINALLY PRESSED UP for this sublime presentation in sound and art courtesy of prolific Icelandic modern composer Johann Johnannsson. The soundtrack to the 08' animation Varmints directed by Marc Craste, Johannson does this widescreen symphonic material so effortlessly, so beautifully... The Sound Of Bees is no different. Field recordings become entangled with achingly sad piano motifs, processed electronics and swelling string movements spread across black wax. Wondrous.
