Almost Nothing is Nearly Enough is a remix album of All Things Being Equal, Sonic Boom’s first studio album in 20 years, coming to us courtesy of Carpark records in deluxe coloured vinyl format. Sonic Boom, real name Peter Kember, is highly revered for his solo work and as a founding member of Spacemen 3, as well as collaborations with Yo La Tengo, Kevin Shields and Stereolab amongst many others. Spaced a year apart from the original release, Kember reimagines all eight tracks with his multi-layered modulars and vocal harmonies, sheening them with a dense, complex but decidedly lofi feel.
