Second Circle dive into the vast archives and pull up another tragically overlooked artist. Blue Box Sessions collates the early synthesised work of theatre, film and music producer Can Oral, arguably some of his first made under the Khan alias. For a set of recordings made in the early to mid-1990s, there’s a remarkable amount of forward-thinking here; ‘Give Me More’ celebrates the minimal techno and house of Oral’s adopted US, while ‘Slow Stepper’ summons the kind of vintage synth Black Moth Super Rainbow would make about a decade later.
