It’s been 35 years since Seattle’s own Mudhoney exploded onto the scene with their unique blend of ‘60’s melodies and caustic, grinding guitar noise to kickstart one hugely influential DNA strand of grunge. If the ‘Touch Me I’m Sick’ 7” provided the spark, it was the following Superfuzz BigMuff EP that truly set off the fireworks. Tracks like ‘Need’ and ‘No One Has’ have an energy all their own, nearly falling apart at the seams sure, but still hacking away at howling hooks so sharp it's no wonder the entire music industry took notice of their town.
